The above is one of those things I’ve meant to “find a better way” for. The better way is .blank?.
<%= @dog.name if !@dog.name.blank? %>
Rails says ””, ” ”, nil, [], and {} are blank.

Active Merchant supports Paypal Website Payments Pro now. That’s good news: WPP is a good alternative to more expensive and difficult-to-apply-for gateways.
Active Merchant makes the implementation easy, unfortunately Paypal makes it about as difficult as possible. Here are some guidelines while they’re fresh in my mind.

My brother Blake is a Peace Corps Volunteer.
He posted a short (and slient) video walkthrough of his house in Vanuatu. The video starts out with what I think is his dog Banks, then moves into the house, and ends in the kitchen.
