I keep my itunes library on an external, bus powered hard drive. I want to keep a backup of my music. Nothing fancy, I just want to copy the files to another external drive.
The easiest way to do it is w/ the copy command. Mine looks like this:
cp -Rnv "/Volumes/tre/iTunes Music" "/Volumes/gigante/tre_backup"
R: recursive
n: copy only when the SOURCE file is newer than the destination file or when the destination file is missing
v: verbose

I got a cd with a paper label stuck in my computer last night. I spent four hours fiddling around with knives, tweezers, credit cards, tape—everything i dug up on google. No Help.
I sleep in the basement, and it’s fairly arctic down there. I put my computer downstairs while I slept last night and it got nice and cold—this morning the cd ejected on the first try.
Lots of things expand a bit when they’re hot—CD’s too? ... Maybe?
